What is a mural?
A mural is a large artwork painted directly onto a wall, ceiling, or other permanent surfaces. Unlike traditional paintings that are usually framed and hung, murals are integrated into the architecture of the space. They can be found in a variety of settings, including public spaces like streets, schools, or businesses, as well as in private homes. Murals often serve to transform a space by telling a story, conveying a message, or simply adding visual appeal on a grand scale.
The Process
Consultation - Yashiva will make an onsite visit to scale the wall and to plan any necessary arrangements for surrounding areas. In the event that the wall isn’t within close proximity a virtual consultation or email can suffice.
After agreeing to project a digital mock up will be created to provide clarity. An approval of timeframe will be discussed to blend both schedules.
A 50% Non - refundable deposit to secure service & materials followed by contract signing
Painting until completion in spray paint & acrylic. A varnish coat will be applied upon completion for longevity.
Common Questions
Can I request acrylic paint only?
Sure I can accommodate you with this paint option it’s typically more ideal for homes, smaller rooms, & environments without ventilation. Keep in mind that the process will be longer & in turn will call for a more expensive project.
Do you paint the entire mural alone?
Yes I work alone. But if the project calls for completion to be done in a quicker time span more assistance may be requested if the mural is over 25 feet long?
Do you have a base price?
No projects vary severely, sometimes a client will request only letters, a very loose design calling for more negative space, or an abstract design.
How long will it take to complete?
Completion varies from project to project and is based on the complexity of the project. You will be informed on an estimate of completion during the consultation process.
How do you protect surrounding areas during painting process?
Typically surrounding areas will be sectioned off including furniture & flooring.
