What is a Studio Commission ?
A studio commission is a custom piece of artwork created specifically for you by the artist in their studio. It offers a more detailed and personalized approach, resulting in a unique, high-quality work of art that reflects your individual taste. Portrait studio commissions are designed to perfectly align with your vision, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a bespoke piece to enhance their space or commemorate a significant moment.

The Process
Once references, deadlines, and placement for your commissioned artwork are approved, I will begin the creation process by sketching the compositional elements. This sketch will then be sent to you for approval.
Since this is my most premium offer, your commissioned portrait will take approximately 6-10 weeks to complete, depending on the style and waitlist placement. Emphasis on detail and stylistic brushstrokes is the primary focus, ensuring my best effort and quality.
When the painting is about 75% complete, I will email you progress photos. This is the ideal time for you to provide any feedback on changes you'd like to make. I will implement any requested changes and present the updated painting for final approval. Afterward, I will varnish, sign, and add hanging hardware. Unless otherwise agreed upon, all commissions are painted on 1.5” gallery-wrapped canvas.
Common Questions
What is the starting price for a portrait commission?
The base price is $2000 for a digital portrait and $7000 for a traditional portrait 24” x 36”
Do I need to make a deposit to start the process?
Yes a 50% non - refundable retainer deposit is mandatory to secure and start the process of your portrait.
Can I add multiple people to my portrait?
Sure, just keep in mind that additional costs will apply per individual added.
Do you accept explicit commissions?
All explicit image submissions and or requests will not be approved.
Are pet portraits included in your offer?
Yes I am open to doing a portrait of anything with a face.
Does my portrait have to be painted on canvas?
No, I accept multiple forms within the minimum sizing of 22 inches by 28 inches while also offering the option of digital portraits.
What paint do you use?
Yashiva uses high quality acrylic and oil paints with a protectant seal of varnish.
Will framing be included?
Framing is not included with the painting. However during the consultation process framing options will be discussed.
